Sumithra Krishnamurthy

Sumithra Krishnamurthy has a particular interest in the political and social implications of NCDs for vulnerable populations, with an emphasis on access to services. Sumithra holds an MPH in Global Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and received her Bachelor’s degree in International Development from the University of Sussex in the UK. Her current research focuses on the political economy of NCDs from a global perspective. Sumithra has previously served at the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) as well as various civil society organizations in support of human rights and health in the UK, Mexico and Rwanda. She has also supported national health systems strengthening projects through consultancies in Mexico and Burkina Faso.
